Oh my goodness, Gatsby. Our little costuming club is dressing up for tomorrow’s opening night, and I can’t wait to sport my Unique Vintage beaded gown and black/gold sparkly 23Skidoos. I don’t really even care if the movie is a flop, lol, it’s going to be so much fun!
In the spirit of Jazz Age party madness, how about a sale? All weekend long, get 10% off our 1920s shoes – 23Skidoo, Astoria, and Gibson – and shoe painting kits too, with coupon code JGtsB21 (clever, eh? see what I did there? haha) – Go Shop!
Click me, baby, one more time…
Now here are some snazzy images from the movie (squee!):
More pictars! I don't really like to model - I much prefer to be behind the camera - but sometimes it's easiest to put on all the stuff and just go. For the 1920s section in our new shop, Royal Vintage Shoes, I wanted to wear the gorgeous original 1920s…
Lauren, Abby, and Tina at The Gatsby Oh Gatsby Summer Picnic how I love you ... let me count the ways! This year Abby and I ventured over the hill to one of my favorite costuming events - The Oakland Gatsby. When I lived in the Bay Area I attended…
Sunday - picnic at the Pope Mansion, replete with vintage cars, great music, and wonderful costumes to oggle. The Lake Tahoe Gatsby is a lovely, miniature-version of the Oakland Gatsby. It's a free wander-in sort of affair right on the beach at the Pope Mansion, an old historic residence now…
I'm going to see the movie Saturday for a costumer friend's bachelorette party (in costume, of course!) – the theater apparently serves food and drinks to you during the movie. It's going to be fabulous…and like you I don't even care if the movie is a flop! Too much fun to get dressed up in the sparkly dresses to care!
Ooo, gorgeous dresses! The movie opens here next week, can't wait! I think I could actually wear my red and white Skidoos when I go see it, to get in the mood
