I’m so pleased to introduce to you our first 1920s/30s style shoe, the “23Skidoo” t-strap spectators, available in two colorways.  It’s everything Deco Era Gatsby shoes should be – a d’orsay pump, with t-strap closure, spectator styling, and a custom made French heel of proper height and balance.

It doesn’t get any more period-perfect than these – everything from the shape of the toe, the height and slope of the heel, to the strap styling on 23Skidoo is closely based on original antique examples of shoes from the 1920s.  Finally you can have exquisitely styled retro flapper shoes that will fit your modern footsies.

perfect 1920s shoes

One of my favorite things about the Skidoos is the paint-your-own aspect of the white/white colorway.  They’re snazzy as is, but imagine them in your favorite color combination to match that new Gatsby or Downton frock – green/white? blue/ivory? maroon/black?  The possibilities really are endless.  Easily paint your Skidoos with Angelus Leather paints, and show off your completely custom pair of spectators to the envy of your pals.

The Pre-Order period is just 19 days, so get your orders in, and help us make 23Skidoo a reality.  As always, if we do not achieve the minimum number of orders, we have to refund everyone and cancel the style.  Please spread the word! Share any of the imagery here on the blog, from Facebook, or www.american-duchess.com, and help us reach 100 orders!
