Birthday Bait – Books, Teacups, and Lady Grey

Sometime last weekend I turned Older.  Luckily this aging was softened by fabulous gifties!

I am no longer a “one book wonder!”  (well, to be fair, I previously had, like, two books on costume – Fashion: The Collection of the Kyoto Costume Institute and Patterns of Fashion 1: 1660-1860).  Mr.C gave me two essential books from the V&A, Fashion in Detail: From the 17th and 18th Centuries, and Nineteenth Century Fashion in Detail.  Now I can add these to my collection of books I refer to ad nauseum!

And of course a teacup and saucer, from my ever savvy mom.  Lovely “Queen Anne” bone china from England, done up in pretty roses.  To accompany, a box of Twinings Lady Grey, my favorite :-).
