Beautiful shoes, you did a wonderful job on your research and development. I am so disappointed that I won't be able to buy a pair (no size 10.5) to support your business!

Because I need to justify breaking down and pre-ordering, I have one question: how much wear do you suspect the soles can take?

If I buy them, the intent is to wear them probably on average once a week roughly October through March – let's say 30 wearings a year of all-day city wearing. I commute via walking half a mile to public transportation – it's a lot of concrete and asphalt compared to someone with a more car-dependent lifestyle. I love the fit of the Kensies and the balance in the heel, so that's what I'm expecting from the Tavistocks, but for the price, they need to last years. If I'm confident I can get several years of this level of use out of them, I'm much more likely to order.

If it's definitely an outdoor, meant to be decent-wearing sole, that's what I need to know. If it's more of a fine dress shoe sole, I'll have to do some thinking.

    Thanks!

Hi – you will be happy to know that we really made the sole thick on these. It is 6.5 mm thick, made of hardened rubber. If you wore through these in 10 years I would be surprised.

    Hi there!

I'm curious about fit – I tend to wear a size 9-9.5 in shoes and am unsure if I were to buy a 9 if it'd fit the way I'd like? I'm curious if I need to size up to a 9.5 or even a 10 in order for my toes to be comfortable. I normally don't like wearing pointed boots/shoes but I've been searching for a pair of boots like this for YEARS. Literally. 🙂

    Thanks for your sizing help!

Hi K8 – It's really impossible to tell how you like the fit until you try them on. If you most commonly wear a size 9 in high heeled dress shoes, order that, and if they don't fit or feel too tight, we can exchange them easily for the larger size. 🙂
