V144: Pompadour Shoes Giveaway Winner – Gwenyver

Wow! You guys entered the Pompadour French Court Heels giveaway 335 times!

…but there could only be one winner.

Selected by Random Number Generator, at Random.org, the winner is…

Gwenyver!

Gwenyver, I please contact me at lauren@american-duchess (or I will track you down), and I’ll get you sorted out with your choice of shoesies.

Now, it’s okay, I know you’re really sad you didn’t win the Pompadours of your dreams, but you can still purchase a pair for the sale price ($115 instead of $135), and support our pre-order.  Remember, we have to sell at least 100 pairs to run the style at all – right now we’re at 66 pairs sold.  Pompadour needs your help!

If Pomps aren’t your thing, the purchase of any other shoes or accessories in le shoppe also helps fund Pompadour, ivory Kensington, and new styles I haven’t even told you about yet (but you will be very excited, promise!). Go to le shoppe to have a browse around:

Congratulations again to Gwenyver!

Love your blog and the pompadours! How early could one get away with for that style? Would shoes from the late 16th century be in any way similar? I'm making an outfit from the end of the 16th century and would love to be able to get shoes for it

Laura, technically they'll go back to the mid 17th century with that height and shape of heel. Similar shaped uppers started coming in early in the 17th century, but the heels were lower. I'm working on an accurate late Elizabethan shoe for a future release, but probably not until next year.
