As I dig out from under the *piles* of boxes, here are some new shoes to entice you...
 |
"Tissot" 1860-1880 - great for Civil War, Natural Form, and Bustle Eras. This is a dyeable satin pump made directly from an original. Easily dyeable and customizable with the new fabric dye kits we're putting together (coming soon). "Tissot" is coming up for pre-order in June, 2013 |
 |
The new "Pompadour" in ivory damask, with an ivory leather heel, leather sole, and characteristic white rand. We'll be doing a "re-pre-order" for "Pompadour" this summer, 2013 |
 |
"Claremont" 1930s suede oxfords in black or chocolate brown, with matching patent leather detailing, and leather soles. These are great for historical wear, as well as modern stylings - they'll be snazz for Fall, so we'll be doing a pre-order for "Claremont" in July, 2013 |
 |
"Abigail" Regency Slippers, the first of our "Signature Collection," of famous women's shoes. Designed from Abigail Adams' slippers in the Smithsonian, these all-leather beauties are historically accurate for 1790-1815, but also happen to look awesome with jeans. |
Don't worry, patient ladies, I'm still working on Regency boots, 18th century mules, Elizabethan shoes, new buckles, spats, and stockings, and other delicious things. :-)
I'm already down for the Tissots and chocolate Claremonts! These are great! Do the Tissots work for the 1840's-50's by any chance?
ReplyDeleteHi Little Moth - yes, you can wear Tissot for the 1850s. Heels were coming back in by then. 1840s it was rare to find heels, but not unheard of. :-)
DeleteGreat! I've been wanting some for that era and I love the square toe!
Deletewow -these are gorgeous
ReplyDeleteThey're all so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe Abigails... oh, sweet Lord. I MUST GIVE YOU MY MONEY NOW. I love this new batch of designs! You've branched out the line beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm glad you like them!
DeleteI am so looking forward to seeing more pics of the Tissots! They may work perfectly for my wedding ensemble. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to have everything! :D
ReplyDeleteLove those Claremont's! Shame that my 'Fall' is now :-(
ReplyDeleteThere's always next Fall!
DeleteI love the chocolate Claremonts!
ReplyDelete-Emily
Ahhh, the Claremonts! And the Abigails... you are very bad for my wallet!
ReplyDeleteThe Tissot's--I will be buying two pairs!
ReplyDeleteI tell ya, the shoes I see at American Duchess entice me to go get a job. My name is on at least three pair. If I had to choose only one it would be the Spectators I recently saw. Love 'em.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like them! Do you know about our layaway plan? http://www.american-duchess.com/easypay Makes it "justifiable" hehe
DeleteI love Tissot!
ReplyDeleteI may need to take advantage of the re-preorder to get a pair of Pompadours. I'm sure a historical performance major needs matching shoes, riiiight?
ReplyDeleteyes, of course!
DeleteThose Claremonts are fabulous! Love the brown hued pair.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get the Tissots and Claremonts for myself and my mom has been asking about when the Abigails were being released for quite a while now.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Abigail for Christmas :-)
DeleteOkay I saw the Tissot's and I kinda just had to go walk around in circles with my face covered so I wouldn't scream at my computer but wow I'm so excited like I need these as soon as possible can I just give you money now ok cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd now that that's off my chest... do they come with the bows? Becauwse while bows are all well and good, I would love decorating them too!
Hi Kiyotea - the bows come on the shoes, but are stitched on and can be cut off easily. Then you can add whatever decorations you like, or make all sorts of different kinds to switch in-and-out, with the shoe clip hardware :-D
DeleteOh I can't wait to order the new Claremont oxfords. I have a pair of true vintage Oxfords from the 1930s, but I'm afraid to swing dance in them. These will work perfectly. I may have to get these in both colors, too (I also ordered the Gibson in two colors). Yay! I'm so excited.
ReplyDeleteYes, save your vintage shoes for special occasions and put the hard wear-and-tear on the repros :-D It's part of why I got into making shoes!
DeleteOoh, loving the Claremonts for just 'modern wear' - so pretty, love that detailing! A bit early to ask, I know, but do you know the height of the heel on those?
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome to see your business is doing so well! :D
If the Tissots were pre-ordered in June, when do you think they could be delivered?
ReplyDeleteMy heart melted at the Claremonts. Oh my God they're gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYea for the Tissots, I have been hoping that you would make Victorian dress shoes for ages now. And I think that the Claremonts look perfect for everyday wear. Now that I have a full time job I suspect I will be ordering MANY pairs of shoes from you.
