July 6, 2010 at 12:53 AMOoh – yummy-looking cupcakes!!!! I'm sure as a Brit I'm committing treason or something by saying this, but happy America Day!

July 6, 2010 at 3:45 AMoh don't feel odd, dear Thief. The dynamic was quite interesting yesterday between Mr. Chris, Englishman, and Ms. Lauren, American Girl, hahaha. Besides, your colours are also red white and blue 😀

July 25, 2010 at 11:33 AMThose photos remind me of my one Independence Day, while I was in the USA in 2007… namely, the blueberries and strawberries. Because I love blueberries, it was very enjoyable, even though the rest of the meal was completely unfamiliar and not so enjoyable for me. 🙂 (Shrimps, and undercooked hamburgers, and boiled corn which I only like fresh – the young, unripe ones, and that kind of thing – what's a Czech girl to do? EAT THE BLUEBERRIES! :D)
Also, it looks you had lovely weather for your picnic, so you were luckier than us back in 2007 – we had wind and rain and the fireworks had to be postponed for several days later.
All in all, you folks in the US are much luckier with your Independence Day. Our Independence Day is October 28th, and nobody really celebrates that. Maybe if it were in July, we would.
