This spring marks a very important milestone for American Duchess. 15 years ago, we released our first historical reproduction shoe for pre-order. We have been designing and creating historical shoes for a decade and a half! To celebrate this amazing milestone, we made an extra-special collection that is now available for you to pre-order: the Anniversary Collection. It consists of three classic American Duchess styles, which have been brought out of the vault and re-developed for 2026.
Savoy Beaded Edwardian Shoes
Savoy is a multi-strapped, bead-encrusted button shoe that encapsulates the glamour of Edwardian eveningwear. First released in 2014, we have re-vamped (pun intended) this Belle Epoqué design with a new beading pattern, updated last, and upgraded colors. Plus, Savoy is now available in both standard (B) and wide (D) widths! Each pair of Savoys is hand-beaded with fine glass beads in a reproduction period motif. Savoy is built on a new Edwardian last (the same as Cordelia), and features our custom, perfectly balanced, 2″/5.08 cm French spool heel. Beautifully shaped straps cross the instep and fasten with functional button closures. This romantic shoe is truly a piece of American Duchess history! Get yours in black/gold, pink, or ivory.
Balmoral Boots
Ten years after our first Balmoral Boots were released, we’ve brought this style back with a new look. Based on the highly popular front-lacing boots of the mid-19th century, Balmoral features wool felt uppers adorned with beautifully scalloped leather foxing. Soft, square toes capture the aesthetic of period originals. Balmoral is fitted with a custom, 0.5″/1.27 cm knock-on heel, which is perfectly balanced for comfort. Balmoral is a wonderfully versatile boot for Victorian-era costuming, or pair with your contemporary wardrobe for a touch of historical flair. Like the originals, Balmoral is designed to have a close fit. Balmoral is available in both standard (B) and wide (D) widths. Choose from black, espresso/burgundy, or espresso/evergreen.
Victoria Carriage Boots
An icon of historical winter-wear is back with Victoria! First released in 2014, these splendid boots are resplendent with an updated look. Carefully reproduced from period originals, our Victoria boots have custom quilted satin uppers with a cozy flannelette lining. Mouton sheepskin trim is complemented by double-faced satin ribbon laces, which secure the boot with darling big bows. Victoria’s custom 1.5″/3.8 cm internal wedge heel captures the silhouette of original Victorian boots. Victoria is fitted with a treaded rubber sole for extra grip and security. Accurate to the 1870s through the 1920s, Victoria pairs perfectly with historical costumes and contemporary winter wardrobes alike. Whether you choose black/black, pink/ivory, or red/ivory, you will be stepping high in these adorable boots.
