The Pincurl Diary – How to Do 1930-50s Hair for a Whole Week

How remiss am I in never posting this video I made earlier in the year. This is a tutorial of sorts for how to set wet-set one’s hair and then maintain it dry for a whole week. It’s for shorter hair, and my hair is very fine, very straight, and will not take a perm, so hopefully this video is helpful for others struggling with technique, maintenance, products, and texture –

Thanks so much for this. I did try pincurling my hair during the first lockdown (when it was very messy and I was desperate!) but because I didn't really know what I was doing it was like hair Russian roulette – sometimes good and sometimes a disaster. Now I can have a go at doing it properly.
