Howdy! So…I’ve been working on a new 18th century Colonial shoe about 1700-1770. She’s gorgeous, complete with snazzy French heel and white rand, and I’d like your opinion on what color you would most prefer…

March 27, 2013 at 5:34 AMLuckily we sell red leather paint in the "Accessories" section on the website just for this purpose! The paint goes over dark leathers just fine, in multiple coats.

March 26, 2013 at 10:13 PMI voted for ivory even though I probably won't get them — but because I love to see what people create with your shoes!

March 26, 2013 at 10:50 PMI voted red, but not a cherry red, a deeper red, I don't know what you'd call it, not brick, or maroon, but deeper than cherry

March 26, 2013 at 10:53 PMA red heel used to be the sign of an aristocrat. So, I vote red too!

March 26, 2013 at 11:03 PMI won't really get them unless they're white, because most of the dresses I make require odd color shoes, and need to be dyed.

March 27, 2013 at 5:35 AMIvory is winning the vote right now, so I have requested a sample in ivory, from the factory.

March 26, 2013 at 11:20 PMMy vote is for a deep green, but the red heel combination sounds smashing. LOVE the new design!

March 27, 2013 at 5:32 AMBlack with a red heel would be divine!

March 27, 2013 at 5:36 AMIt looks like black and ivory are the most popular. Both colors can have painted heels, with the Angelus leather paints we sell in the Accessories section (they work over dark leathers as well, in multiple coats). Yay, customization!

March 28, 2013 at 3:51 PMYou always do such great work!
There not quite what I'd go for, though, since they look so similar to the Kensingtons. To me, there only seem to be a few variations from that design. I would like an 18th c. shoe that is a little further away from the Kensington design.

March 30, 2013 at 9:40 PMColor doesn't matter, but size does. I love your beautiful shoes, but I can't wear them because I have a wide foot. If you could please, please make these in a wide I'd buy them no matter what color they come in.

March 31, 2013 at 4:11 AMThose are so rad! Any color! Sadly, I cannot wear leather as a vegan. But I can admire the wonderful design!
